Evan Mitnick has been involved in various facets of the mortgage business for more than seventeen years. In September of 2008, he founded Anchor Street Mortgage, LLC and serves as its President. Before Anchor Street Mortgage, he was a Managing Director at Westwood Capital, LLC, where he created the Westwood Home Loan Recovery Fund, an entity designed to purchase non-performing, owner-occupied, first-lien residential mortgage loans. Immediately prior to that, he was a Senior Vice President of New Century Financial Corporation. Mr. Mitnick ran New Century’s New York City office where he also was responsible for originating, structuring and maintaining all New Century financing facilities, with total financing capacity of $17.5 billion.
Prior to joining New Century in early 2005, Mr. Mitnick held senior positions in the investment banking and asset-backed finance groups at Prudential Securities, Greenwich Capital and Citigroup, where he specialized in the financing and securitization of sub-prime mortgage loans, small balance commercial loans, small business loans, franchise loans and entertainment related assets. Before coming to Wall Street in 1994, Mr. Mitnick worked at Home Box Office as a senior analyst. He started his career as an auditor for Arthur Andersen where he received his CPA in 1989.
Mr. Mitnick earned his MBA from the Stern School of Business of New York University and he earned his BA in Accounting from Yeshiva University.
